Hello and welcome. My name is Gillian Baldock and I am an artist living and working in Mittagong in the Southern Highlands of NSW. A lifelong appreciation of the natural world and a passion for creating drives my art practice. The focus of my work is animals – their intrinsic beauty, but also their place and dependence on the environment, and is based on research and observation. I enjoy working in a variety of media – each one offering its own unique challenges and rewards. I have contributed to many group exhibitions, have had two solo exhibitions in the Moss Vale Foyer Gallery and my work has found its way into collections in many parts of the world. I have also been privileged to immortalise many much loved family pets.
I will again be exhibiting with the “All Things Great are Small” group at
The White Cottage Gallery, Retford Park. A National trust Property.
As the name suggests the works in this exhibition are all miniatures or small works. All works are for sale.
The White Cottage Gallery is open each Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, from 10am – 4pm. Entrance to the gallery is free.
