Hello and welcome. My name is Gillian Baldock and I am an artist living and working in Mittagong in the Southern Highlands of NSW. A lifelong appreciation of the natural world and a passion for creating drives my art practice. The focus of my work is animals – their intrinsic beauty, but also their place and dependence on the environment, and is based on research and observation. I enjoy working in a variety of media – each one offering its own unique challenges and rewards. I have contributed to many group exhibitions, have had three solo exhibitions in the Moss Vale Foyer Gallery and my work has found its way into collections in many parts of the world. I have also been privileged to immortalize many much loved family pets.
I have a few pet portrait commission places available for Christmas.
